Harry Stevens

The latest installment of 'meet the players' is with Bowers left back Harry Stevens. Harry originally played for Bowers in the season 2005/2006 after leaving Concord Rangers. That was a dissappointing season for Bowers and led to a change of manager. Harry was one of the few players retained my incoming manager John Doyle but after being offered Ryman football with Tilbury Harry left Bowers to take up this opportunity. However things didn't work out and Harry is now back with Bowers after returning before christmas.

5) What was you official debut for bowers in competitive game? Barking Away this season, lost 2-1

6) Have you ever been involved with a professional club? Leyton Orient when I was 13

7) So you started pre season with bowers and moved onto tilbury. what happened and how come you came back?

Started the season with Bowers and was looking forward to a good season until we played Tilbury in a pre-season friendly. I was asked to sign over Tilbury. Was made promises by the manager of Ryman football and better money so I 'Jumped Ship'. Lack of first team football was the main factor to me leaving Tilbury.

Admittedly now it was not the right time to move and when offered  a chance to come back and play regular first team football I signed straight away.

8) What is your ambition as a non league footballer? To hear the fans chant my name, only good stuff though! Maybe sign a few autographs

9) Who is the best player you have played with so far in non league football? Danny Heale

10) Who is the best player you remember playing against in non league? Paul Cobb

11) Who will win the ESL this year?In my opinion its tight but I think Brentwood

13) Worst trainer at the club? why? As i cannot vote for myself, its gotta be Moley. He just runs into players and is goes home early for chinese.

14) Who is the most skillful player? Close call, Whitey just beats Pethers after his quality solo goal against Stansted.

15) Who is the biggest moaner? Dockers. Must be a Scottish thing! Wouldn't mind if he was any good.

16) Who is the longest in the showers? Darren Ellis. No Contest!

17) Who is the team joker? Smallsy, always winding people up!

18) Who is the biggest soap dodger? Never seen Nathan Evans have a shower.

19) What is your funniest moment so far this season? When the roof caved in at the half time team talk and i've never seen Benno move so fast.

27) Claim to fame? Got to final 64 of auditions of Big Brother 5 in 2004.


28) Best goal you've Scored? Scored a 'Tony Yeboah' style volley goal for my school when I was 14, lost 6-1, so didnt really matter.
